frustration

as my good friend wiki always says :

Frustration is an emotional response to circumstances where one is obstructed from arriving at a personal goal. The more important the goal, the greater the frustration. According to N.E. Miller "frustration produces instigation to a number of different types of response, one of which is an instigation to some form of aggression. So this is where I begin this week - frustrated and a bit anxious. Alas this is common theme for the creative mind right? So how to channel this into something productive?

I don't rightly know at the moment. Yet it is a question worth asking... How can a stuck and immobile place birth something worthwhile? My thought- a) do something radically different to move forward or b) break everything down to what is happening and why. Oblique? Perhaps. Oversimplistic? you bet...

In the meantime, imagine all the interesting things one can make out of the three letters VLC

mostly quick and random

I'm behind so I thought I'd at least get something up to stir the imagination. Sure it's an easy connection. However, the connection tells of much more. Find the alternate but much more vital conclusion. Shallowness does count.

maps and networks

It certainly seems possible that all things these days are interconnected and can be traced. Good, bad or neutrally shaded there seems to be a way to find a thread that binds. I'm sure there is a way to break down this theory again and again but let's set that aside for the moment.

While roaming around last night I was thinking of ways to use this rash conclusion creatively. I recalled an interesting 'album cover' creation tag that was going round. Take a flikr image here, wiki article there, add random quote and combine in Photoshop (or better yet Gimp -go Open Source!) and viola your album cover. Taking this one step further, I'd like to see what happens by taking words of the day with random wiki article with craigslist adds and map their connection.

What does 'map their connection' mean? To me it means find the thread in whatever way -truly logical or highly suspect- that one can.

So can one really connect the word epistolary and the 1761 Milestone...

Samuel Richardson of course.

pressure.

What is it about pressure?

Atmospheres, people, and matter in general can seem to be dramatically effected by the phenomenon of pressure.

According to Wiki
"Pressure is an effect which occurs when a force is applied on a surface."

I suppose it's just worth noting how much pressure effect our surroundings. Becoming aware of how much external pressure impacts internal pressure and vice versa.

Strange things happen when approaching the topic:

While you may be finding yourself now a bit at a loss, there is no doubt your view of pressure has been shifted.

Apologies as it is Monday...

Perhaps a different ode to pressure.

flibbertigibbet

"Flibbertigibbet" is one of many incarnations of the Middle English word "flepergebet," meaning "gossip" or "chatterer."
-- at least according to the Merriam-Webster site today.

However, that's not what I'd like to discuss at present. I'd more like to press on with the thought of permutations.

The thought of making something that has a single origin and mutates into many various corridors is quite interesting. Time paradox, regret, genetic farming and brain lock all fall under this category. Also it begs the question can we ever listen to the same sound twice? See the same film? OK perhaps too mundane a question but one has to admit the fertile ground for exploration right?

so i've been lost for a while...

Ok so I've been missing in action. Perhaps a fresh reboot to FV?

Yes I think so.

Whilst I love the thought of continuing in a similar direction, I need to add more to my synth/computer music leanings. Action...
